  • Yeah I'm 5'2'' and I am noticing a little bump. It definetly is different than the bloat I had a few weeks ago. I am originally a 0-2 so I'm probably going to hold off on maternity and just buy bigger sizes while I can.

  • I'm 5'3 too, and weighed about 106 pre-pregnancy. I thought I was showing too, until this morning. Apparently things were just not moving down there, because after a good breakfast (and some real COFEE) I all of a sudden lost my bump. ;)

  • I'm 5'5" and I have long legs and a short torso.  I noticed just this week that my bloat is starting to change to bump. It has a totally different shape this week than it did before.

  • I'm 5'2" and 3/4 of an inch, yes I count the 3/4. I started showing a bump relatively early, 14/15 weeks with my first pregnancy. DH and I notice a bump now with my second pregnancy, but it isn't that noticeable to strangers.
  • I'm about your size and I feel like my "pooch" is more of a belly than just fat lately. I've been taking pictures each week since I found out, and this week I definitely feel like I can tell a difference, I think it's just me, but I can.  My pants are also starting to get very tight, I can't stand being in jeans anymore. Thank goodness I can wear scrubs to work most of the time!
  • I'm not nearly as far along all of you, but I just had this discussion with my mother last night. I'm 5'3 as well, and pre-BFP was a size four. Now, size 6 is leaving marks on my stomach they are so tight. I know it is all bloat and I know you'll think I'm crazy but I look like 3+ months pregnant. I got very upset about it last night, and called my mother (who was built just like me) and she told me she was in maternity clothes within 2 months. She also blamed it on the short torsos. Granted, I also ended up being a 9lb baby (she was less than 100lbs when she got pregnant) and she couldn't touch her hands around her belly at the end. YIKES!

Anyway, I think I'm going to have to break down a buy a Bella band or something here soon. I keep having to wear the same pants or sweats :(

  • Oh my!  I'm 5'1 and have had the same thoughts.  Pants are definitely uncomfortable.  :/
  • I'm 5'2" and a size 4, and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable in my jeans now.  I may get a bella band to help soon...

  • I'm 5'2", and when I was pregnant with my daughter (who weighed 9lbs 3.5ozs): I looked like a bowling ball with legs. For us short girls, there's no place for the baby to grow but out!

Treat yourself to some maternity clothes (don't buy too small, of course), because you'll feel better about the fit and your look. Embrace that fabulously feminine and maternal look you're beginning to rock!

    Take care :)

  • YES!  I am 5'4'' & was a size 2 before pregnancy w/ longer legs & a shorter torso.  I was very bloated until about a week ago, but now I have a little bump.  I can tell it's different b/c it's firm feeling now.  I am using a bella band.  Not ready for maternity pants yet.  I have been wearing looser, flowy-type tops to hide the little bump.
