Middle name for Reese (for a girl)

I think a 3 or more syllable middle name would sound best.  Our last name ryhmes with Pickle.

The only one I currently like is Aniston.

  • I support using Reese, traditionally a last name or boy's name, for a girl but I would go with something fairly girly to counteract the handsomeness of the first name. Also, Aniston risks locking this baby into a 2009 trendy mentality: Reese Witherspoon +Jen Aniston? NMS

How about: Alexandra, Penelope, Elizabeth, Liliana, Olivia...

My thoughts exactly. ?The combo is bad and it looks like you pulled it directly from an UsWeekly mag.

I do like Reese, though, and think there are some great feminine sounding names suggested above. ?I particularly like Reese Caroline.?

  • I agree with PPs about using a really feminine name for the middle name since Reese is traditionally masculine. No suggestions other than what people already gave, though.

  • I really like the suggestion of Reese Olivia.

    Reese Caroline is cute too.

And second (third?) the comments about the trendiness of Aniston and using something ultra-feminine in the MN slot.

  • I love the name Aniston - I thought I was the only person in the world going to use that name!!!  Haha!!  The only thing is, with "Reese" and "Aniston" in the same name, you might seem a little celebrity-obsessed.  I like Reese Marie?
  • I personally think Reese is better suited as a middle name because you have a 2 syllable last name. The full name would flow a lot better if you had a 2-3 syllable first name and Reese as the MN. For example: Caroline Reese Pickle sounds a lot better than Reese Caroline Dickle. (I picked Caroline randomly out of someone's list)

(added) She could still go by her middle name though (Reese). That's what we plan to do with our daughter because DH wants a little girl named after him (Jerry=Jeri for girl) which I am fine with because I love using boy names on girls. But she will go by her MN to avoid confusion and to be more feminine.
