This is kinda related.
When I was pregnant MIL always referred to DD as her first name and middle name. She would talk to my belly and say things like "Hi, Emma Grace, it's Gramma. I love you and pray for you everyday!" She would even talk to the u/s picture on our fridge.
Anyway, I thought maybe this would stop once DD was born. Nope. She still does it to this day. It's to the point where we're thinking we might have to ask MIL if she knows that DD's first name is just Emma, not Emma Grace.
she's such a weirdo.
Re: speaking of people calling LO names you don't like...
Oh you remember!
It wasn't just the crying, it was the crying coupled with "THANK YOU FOR EMMA GRACE!!" She hasn't done that recently. But she has taken to greeting me with a hug, a kiss and she says "Hi, Chelle, I love you!!!".
I still haven't figured out how to respond to that.
Lol, I remember that too.
Just mumble back, "olive you too". If you say it fast enough she'll never know.
