Canadian grammar question

Is it just Canadians that put a U after the O in certain words, or am I making this all up?

I think its also British.

it's a British and Canadian thing. There are 'Canadian English' dictionaries though as we don't use all the same spelling as the Brits. It's kind of a mix between British and American english
