Why do people always say "TMI" when writing a post?

Really? Is there anything that is TMI while pregnant? Most of the time the posts are about boobs or a vagina. I guess I just don't see the need to preface with "TMI".

    Probably the poster feels uncomfortable posting about things like that to "strangers" online. And there are those few people who get grossed out and will probably demand that next time they use "TMI" so they don't read it.

    But I understand. We're all pregnant women who go through a lot of TMI issues! Just get over it and post. If people don't like it, oh well.

    I agree!  I think the people writing it haven't been bumping long enough to realize that "we have no shame" here!

    I, for one, appreciate the warning.  Sometimes my stomach just isn't up for a full description of someone's discharge etc.
