NBR: Car died - Recommend yours

My car died right in the middle of 140 tonight.  I am so thankful that LO wasn't with me.  During rush hour - it was a little stressful!

I haven't bought a car since 1998.

Any suggestions or nice to haves with a baby/ growing family?

  • I really like my 300.  It's very roomy, but doesn't look like a "mom" car.  I could use a bit more trunk space, but we have an SUV for traveling/grocery store trips.
    I HAVE CHILDREN.
  • DH and I hope to buy a new Yukon Denali as soon as his vehicle is paid off and I am working again!

  • Anything Chevy!

We have a Chevy Suburban and love it!

  • I love my Buick Rendezvous!  Plenty of room in the backseat for an infant seat and two adults.  Plenty of storage room.  It's like a minivan, but looks a slight bit cooler.

  • oh man that is not good. i would have been so stressed! hope u are ok. i have a dodge journey. it is great since it has 3 rows of seats and it was cheap. if i could buy any car though, it would be a honda or toyota. ive had both in the past and they just feel better built than my dodge.
  • I have a Scion XD 2008 and I love it! Its very roomy and comfy!
  • I love my Tahoe, but we are thinking about going bigger and getting a Suburban.

  • LOL That's a little vague.  What kind of cars are you into? Sedans, SUVs, Mini-vans, etc.  Are you looking to lease or buy? New or old?

We have a 07 Corolla (mine) and 08 Edge (FI).  I drive both frequently since the AC in my corolla needs to be repaired.  I love my corolla and for it just being myself and DD, it works perfectly.  However, I don't have big gear like a travel system.  I can't imagine taking a travel system in and out of the trunk all the time.

The Edge is great.  Good gas mileage, sporty looking but really roomy inside, the back seats recline (nice for me when I feed her in the car), and the trunk space is really large.
