I'm 5' tall and started out around 99-100lbs. I've always looked like I've weighed more then I really do, so even at that weight I was thin, but had some decent pudge (as I so lovingly call it). The 1st tri I was nauseous all the time and ate mainly carbs until last week. That's when I started feeling a lot better and am now eating a lot healthier. I'm also working out regularly, but not as much as I was pre-pregnancy. This morning I weighed myself and have gained 10lbs. No, it's not alot, but at the same time, I feel like it is b/c I read on here how some are gaining way slower. Just wondering if this is a short girl thing or just my own. Thanks!
Re: Short girls - are you gaining quicker?
i'm 5'3 and have gained about 13-14 pounds so far.
I am tall, 5'8", but I was interested and thought I'd post too.
I gained 8 lbs at my 23 week appt in the last month, which I have really popped in the last month so I wasn't surprised. I have gained 20 lbs now total.
I am 5'1.5" and didn't gain until week 20 - up 4lbs. At my 25 wk appt I was up 11lbs total. I think it's just individual. My best friend is also short and she gain the most in the second tri and then not much after that... we're just all different.
ETA: I started out 95lbs.
i feel like being short is def a part of me showing soo early. I'm 16w2d today & have been told that i have popped!
I'm 4ft 10 & a half in. Pre preg I was around 124 & dieting before i found out. At my last Doc appiontment i was up 12lbs!!

I don't think so... I'm 5'3'' and at 24 weeks I was 142 pounds(My next appointment is this up coming wednesday) I started at 127, so thats a gain of... 15 pounds? lol, and the lady at WIC told me I was gaining weight just as I should be! Not to fast not too slow.
And trust me... I eat anything but healthy(I really do try, but sometimes.. K-monkey just really, really wants that big mac!! LOL) and I walk my dog about 1-2 miles a day depending on how I feel in the morning.
