We moved DD to her crib on Friday last week. She seemed to do fine the first night, going right to sleep and sleeping for about 11 hours. Now I know she slept so well that night because she got shots at the doctor that day and just passed out. Each night since then has gotten progressively worse. DD was STTN in our room, going to sleep around 8 and waking around 5 or 6 and then back down for about three more hours. Last night, I tried over and over to put her down to bed (in her crib), each time totally asleep, and she'd wake up either immediately and start crying or she'd sleep for an hour or so and wake up crying. All night long. She finally slept for 5 hours staight starting at 5 a.m. She does this each night. Awake every hour or so through the night until early morning, between 3 and 5 a.m. and then sleeps several hours straight with no problem. So I know she can sleep there, she just won't. So I'm wondering...
Was your LO STTN before you moved them out of your room to their crib? And if so, did they continue to do that when you moved them to their own room? If they stopped STTN, what did you do to help them STTN again? And how long did it take before they started STTN again?
TIA!
Re: If you moved LO from your room to crib, please come in
When we moved DD to her crib she was STTN co-sleeping. She did well transitioning. We made sure to comfort her if she cried out. Give her what she needed; her paci, cover her back up and leave the room. She usually went back to sleep. A few nights were hell, she didn't want to STTN. Making sure to keep the room quiet and dark as possible when you check on LO is a good idea too.
DD was also swaddled until about three months old. I really think this helped her STTN as well.

Good Luck!
At 6 weeks we started doing naps in the crib (she was already STTN at this point). She always slept about 8-1230, ate, then slept until about 730/8am. About 2 weeks after starting naps in the crib, we started doing naps and sleeping 8-1230.
At 2.5 months we moved her into her crib permanently. She didn't have any issues with sleeping through the night once we moved her to the crib, however, it is often harder for her to fall asleep. I think b/c the crib has a firm mattress and the bassinet part of the PNP, which we used, was softer. It took a couple of weeks but she got the hang of it!
I guess my advice is try to keep your routine... not sure if you still swaddle, but that definitely helped, and we added a humidifier for white noise. GL!
He was STTN in our room, then he stopped. We moved him at about 3 months, thinking that maybe DH's snoring was waking him up. The first couple of days were a bit rocky, but he does sleep better in his room than in ours. He comes into our bed at 5 now when he wakes up to eat.
I think most of his waking up issues were due to a growth spurt/wakeful period. He finally started STTN consistently again around 4 months old.
