When did you (or will you) switch to convertible carseat?

DS has always hated his carseat. We never use the snap'n'go. We never use the extra base. So the advantages of the infant carseat are not there for us. Thinking about making the switch to a Britax convertible. When did you ladies make the switch?

M HATED her car seat for the first couple of months. We ended up putting memory foam in her seat to change the angle she was sitting at.

When she was about 5 months old, we stopped having meltdowns in the seat at all. From 4-5 months, it was hit or miss. I think once she realized we were still there, she sort of surrendered. Then she discovered the window.

We only just switched her last month to the convertible seat and it started again until we showed her all she could do in that seat.

we will be switching before Christmas. my grandmother is getting us the convertible seat as a christmas gift.

We have a Britax Decathalon and we switched Harrison over to it right before he turned 6 months. I always kinda hated the infant carrier.

We bought our Britax Marathon today and will probably switch her around 4-5 months or when she gets too heavy to be toted around in her carrier.

We switched to the convertible seat (britax boulevard cs) when Max was almost 5 months. My chunky boy was growing out of his infant seat and he was much more comfy when we got him in his new seat.

Bailey has been in his Marathon since 6 weeks old. It made my life so much better since he HATED his infant seat. He likes the more roomy marathon plus I put the baby einstein mirror back there that plays music and lights up.
