When do you go on birth control?

This is my first baby and I've never taken BC before. Do I have doc give it to me now or at my 6 week? I want to have sex ASAP after 6 week LOL

I had a 4 week pp appointment instead of a 6 week and I got the scrip then/

I had a 2 week appointment to have my c-section incision checked and my doctor gave me the prescription then.

My doc said after I get my first PP period and she also said to use condoms until then and through the first month JIC.

Don't know what exactly you're asking, but if you're planning to use the Pill, no, it won't be effective right away. Make sure to talk to your doctor.
