I've had it...not alot but maybe just a bit once a week.
I told my doctor I read somewhere about feta being a no-no...and she just gave me this look that was priceless and asked me where I read that and when I mentioned internet she told me to stay off the internet.
As said in a PP, pasteurized feta is just fine. It's only the unpasteurized cheeses and products that should be a concern. Most commercial cheese is pasteurized, just check your labels.
It's just another thing that is always risky, but riskier when you have a baby.... just like everything you do - walking down the stairs because you might fall, or cutting your hand on a rusty nail or something. it's all risky.
The concern with lunch meat, raw meat (handling it.. hope you don't eat it), and unpasteurized cheeses (or milks, or whatever unpasteurized things you might buy) are that occasionally there are bacteria that could make you sick. and of course it's more dangerous for baby than it is for you. so a lot of sites tell you to stay away. A lot of doctors think it's silly, because out of all the risks we are forced to take or choose to take while pregnant, this is very minor.
If you are worried about it, a lot of feta is actually pasteurized. It will say on the label. Some feta, and a lot of other soft cheeses (gorgonzola, brie, blue cheese, etc) are unpasteurized. It's your call on those. I have been limiting my intake if I can, but not stressing about it.
Unless you are buying it (or any other soft cheeses for that matter) from some super-fancy cheese shop, you are fine, it is pretty hard to find unpasteurized cheese in any sort of normal retail center.

This.
It's only a no-no if you eat more than a fingernail full and forget to barf it up after you're done eating it.
Otherwise you're good to go.
Hahahahahahaah!! Of course that's what I did.
