Update on Mason

I posted a few weeks ago about the doctors detecting a bleed behind one of the fluid sacs in Masons brain at our 27 week ultrasound, and I just wanted to give you ladies an update.

At our 28 week ultrasound they weren't able to detect the bleed with two different ultrasound machines, we were so hopeful thinking that the bleeding had resolved itself. My doctor told us not to get our hopes up and sent us for the fetal MRI on Oct.15th.

We went in for my 29 week ultrasound on tuesday, and found out that the bleed had been detected by the MRI and also the left ventricle was enlarged, meaning that the bleeding was obstructing the fluid flow in his brain. Also his right kidney had urine backing up in it. The doctor said that usually kidney problems fix themselves before delivery but if the urine is still backing up at our next weeks ultrasound then they will prepare for problems with his kidneys after delivery.

I am so ready to deliver, I will be 30 weeks on saturday and I don't anticipate my doctor letting me go past 32 weeks. I can't deal any longer with waiting each day to feel him kick or move just to know he is still alive. I just feel so defeated, and I know I shouldn't question God but I want to scream why me! I am not strong, why pick me to go through this nightmare. Sorry this is so long.I have been holding it in, and trying to stay brave, but thanks in advance to anyone who took the time to read this.
