So my shower is 11/7, and only a very few people have RSVP'ed. My cousin's wife has not RSVP'ed as coming/not coming yet. However, I got a package in the mail yesterday- return address said "Processing Dept"- and I opened it. Inside was something from our BRU registry, and the shipping label inside said something like, congrats/you're going to love being a mom. Since she just had her 2nd baby on 9/26, I would imagine that she's not coming (if she were, I think she'd probably have the gift sent to herself to bring to the shower).
Do I send a thank you now? Or wait 2 weeks, after the shower is over. Also, do I bring this gift to the shower for people to see?
We didn't have anything like this happen for our wedding, so I'm a little clueless as to what is appropriate.
TIA!
Re: Thank you etiq.
There was a cute post earlier this week, and the person took pictures of the gifts that she got before the shower. With the giftgivers name on them. I thought that was cute.
I'd send the Thank You's now. That's what I've been doing, plus it lets them know you got it.
