IVF Ladies-Antagonist Protocal Questions

Hi Ladies...I had my post IVF Dr Apt yesterday and they are putting me on the Antagonist Protocal

Did any body have success w/the antagonist protocol? Did you have any side effects from the ganirelix? With my IVF#1, I had some complications with OHSS and high estrogen levels..so they were a litttle concerned as well as me not producing many eggs to freeze..(IVF #1, 4 eggs 2 frozen used for last FET).

Thanks so much!  Also, if anyone can share their IVF timeline that would be great!

    There have been a couple antagonist protocol posts recently.  Here is a response I posted in another post from last week.

    This last cycle I did antagonist and it was my favorite protocol.  I did BCP for 32 days. 

    Stopped BCP on day 32 of taking them had baseline b/w u/s and started stims 4 days later (only light spotting, no real flow).

    I stimmed for 10 full days and nights and only menopur on the morning of the 11th day before I went for u/s and b/w that day.  I triggered that evening.

    I stimmed with 300iu of Follistim at night and 150 iu of Menopur in the AM.  I started Ganirelix the evening of stim day 7.

    I triggered the evening of stim day 11 with Ovidrel and a ganirelix shot.

    This was by far the easiest IVF, less shots and less s/e for me, it went by so quickly.  When I told DH we were triggering he was like, already you haven't even taken a lot of shots this time?

    Time-line was start BCP on July 25 stopped on August 25, stims started August 29 and I stimmed for 10.5 days, triggered on September 8, ER Sept 10, ET Sept 15.

    I don't know if we have success yet....

     

    But I was on BCPs for 24 days, and had AF 3 days later or so, and my baseline was on CD2. Started stims that night.

    I stimmed for 12 days, started with follistim and menopur at 150IU and worked up to 300 IU of each for the last few days. Added ganirelix after 5 days of stims. 

     ER went well.. we got 14 and fertilized 8. ET is Saturday.

    I didn't really notice any side effects, to be honest. Some people complain of the ganirelix itching, but I didn't notice much of a problem, outside of bruising a tiny bit. Menopur burned more.

    We did from our FET from antagonist.  They had 9 follies, 8 mature, 100% fert rate with ICSI.  They transferred 3 great 3 day embies and BFN.

    I just did my FET with 2 of my frozens and have 1 little bean in here.  I still have 2 blasts frozen too.
