i had measurement yesterday and baby is 7 pounds 1 ounces. the average now is about a half pound a week. but doc will likely induce me in just under 2 weeks so we are looking at a 8-8.5 pound baby. i also couldn't believe it
my doctor doesn't even do growth ultrasounds this late because they're inaccurate. All they can really make right now are educated guesses....meaning that they can be off by quite a bit just keep that in mind.
My LO measured 7 pounds, 6 oz yesterday at 34 WEEKS. My OB says he's in the 99.5 percentile, and I don't even have gestational diabetes. They're thinking he'll be over 10 pounds at birth. Thankfully, I had to have a repeat c-section anyway.
@ 32w6d this LO weighed 5lbs 5oz. she gained 2lbs in 3 weeks!! I think the u/s is pretty close, even this late in pregnancy. I had a u/s w/ my 1st daughter 4 days before she was born and they said 8lbs 6oz. she came out 4 days later weighing 8lbs 5.5oz.
Re: Weight of LO at 36 weeks
My doctor guessed 4-5 pounds (when I was 36 weeks) but he thinks the baby will be small.
Personally, I feel like it's so hard to estimate the baby's weight anyway and he's probably going to be wrong.
