Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I just tried to get my dog to eat a spider for me...

and she lost it!!!  We have had this HUGE spider living in our window all summer.  I didn't mind it, because it was out of the way, and it did a great job of catching flies.

Until today - I guess because it got cold, it moved inside, and had build a web from the corner of the window to my night stand.  ANd when I say this spider is large - it's body is bigger than a quarter, and then it has long nasty legs.  UGLY spider.

Anyway, so the spider was on the wall..violating my personal space.  I didn't feel right about smooshing it, and the dog LOVES to catch spiders and flies...so I called her in to eat it...

And she dropped it.  It crawled under my bed.  UGH.

(I think this is the universe's way of punishing me for trying to kill it...)

  • lol, that is so funny because I do it too!  We are odd ducks, most women call their DH's to get rid of spiders, we get our dogs....  doesn't say much for our DH's does it?!  =)  We have a Chocolate Lab, what do you have?

  • Gross!! We had a spider like that in our garage.  I finally made DH kill it this week.
  • She's an australian cattle dog, who has gotten too fat from not getting enough exercise.  She used to catch birds right out of the air because she could go so fast.  Now she just limits herself to bugs!

  • Omg, PC, I used to have an Australian cattle dog (blue heeler) too!  She was a bit of a mix of blue and red heeler.  They are great, beautiful dogs.
  • I swear she is the most neurotic dog I have EVER owned!  (DH says she is just like me.  Eeks.)  She was like a new baby for the first two months I had her - she had a skin condition and was SO uncomfortable, I was up all night with her on a regular basis.  I guess she is officially my "middle child".
