I've got pics of Flip and Econbum Diapers

I just got them today! I still have to put some of the inserts up.

Let me know if the link works. :)

Here is the link I put info on: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/24552521.aspx

  • Thanks for sharing, I had never heard of those before.

  • Interesting.. looks like Econobum is just prefolds and a cheap-ish cover and Flip looks like a nicer cover but I would be wary of just putting a trifolded prefold in there, especially without leg gussets or snaps to hold it in place. The tuck things look nice but I don't know how well they'd truly hold a prefold in place on a squirmy (or crawling, or walking) baby. Let us know how they work once you've gotten a chance to try them all out!
  • I will let everyone know how they work once I use them :)
  • Does the econo seem filmsy and see thru?

what do the actual inserts look like?

  • Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I needed a few more OS covers anyway so I figured I would try them, and I can always sell them on DS if I don't like them- I figure quite a few people will want to try them since they are the "new thing".

  • I just added pics of the insert for the Flip and the Econobum Diaper on my link. I really like the Flip design better. Yes the Econobum does seem flimsy. And alittle see-thru (this might be because there not dry all the way yet) I'll have to see how they dry up. The Flip is alot better than the Econobum design in my opinion. I'm going to see how long the Econobum holds up with washing over time. I have yet to wash the Flip up, because you have to wash them 6 times without anything else. I'll have to do that soon and see how they wash up. And the Econobum is only in white. The Flip comes in MoonBeam, Ribbit and Zinnia. I just wish they had a yellow in the Flip. :)
  • to answer a question on one of your pics, you shouldn't use your BG 3.0 inserts in the flip bc the microfiber would touch your baby...

but thanks for all the pics!

Ok thanks! Could I get some suede fabric like the BG 3.0 have in them and sew a cover (almost like a sock) to slide the BG 3.0 inserts and then use them in the Flip.

  • I would think that would work - so long as no microfiber touches skin you'd be good.
