putting things in perspective

Someone at work dented my car in the parking lot and didn't leave a note, so I was walking around feeling ticked and looking at different cars to see if it was evident who did it...

... when my friend called me to tell me that a close friend of ours passed away an hour prior.

That sure put things into perspective.

Now I'm sitting at work in shock. I'd go home but I think I need to gather myself before I drive anywhere.
