SO monogrammed Xmas stockings

If you have monogrammed stockings, do yours and DH's stockings say Mommy and Daddy, or are they monogrammed with your names? We don't habe monogrammed stockings, but now that our family is "complete", I was thinking of doing it. I think I'm leaning towards our names.

I don't, but need to. I will probably do mom and dad because our kids won't be calling us by name...does that make sense?

I just got a matching set of stockings this year since our family is complete now, too. We did mommy and daddy on our stockings.

I got them from this etsy seller - they are not cheap - but they are BEAUTIFUL and made so well... and these will be ours for life now, so I didn't mind spending the money. I LOVE them- they just came a week ago.

I did Dad, Mom, Archer and Landry. I plan on keeping them a while and the boys will wonder who "Trixie" is...(not my real name, but you get the drift)

Now you are making me re-think. I have never had monogrammed ones, but wanted to get them this year. I might do Dad and Mom now.

Wow, when you said they weren't cheap you weren't kidding! DH has a stocking with his name on it that his aunt kniy when he was a kid. . .DS and I will be getting our own this year from Things Engraved. They are only $9.99. Mine will say my name, not "mommy."

I thought about doing our name, but Mom and Dad sounds so much more family-like. We won't be doing Mommy and Daddy though, as we'll still use them when our kids are older.

ETA: Even if you don't plan to have more kids (or if you are), get extra if you are totally in love with them, just leave them blank. You may never find that stocking again. Also, in our family we keep the same stocking through the years, so I'd hate to get new ones each time we had a new addition.

Our stockings say our names since they are the stockings we've had since we were little kids

Our DD will have one that is similar to ours (we both have hand knit stockings our grandma's made)
