High-Risk Pregnancy

Body fail.

OB wants to induce at 37.5 weeks because my body is not coping with pregnancy.

If that doesn't make you feel like a failure I'm not sure what does.

Re: Body fail.

  • Mine didn't cooperate either ~ don't worry, you have that much longer to be a successful mommy!

  • OH HONEY....no no no! You're NOT a failure! Look how far you've carried LO already! And with all you've been through, you're still typing about it on the bump....not hanging out behind padded walls!

Success is a healthy baby and mom, PERIOD.  You're on your way to that in just a short time.

  • Aww...not a failure at all! Your baby is healthy and you've taken it to full-term so you've done a great job!

  • Thanks girls. I needed that.
  • Oh, if I can make it anywhere NEAR 37 weeks I will be a great success!  My body failed me, and my LO, last time at 23.5 weeks...I think making it to 37.5 makes you a rock star!
  • Oh my gosh-- do not feel like a failure because of that!  You have already gotten your baby to 35 weeks, and that is great for LO.  Getting to 37.5 makes the baby full term, and that is a WONDERFUL accomplishment.  You cannot beat yourself up because your body is having a rough time-- pregnancy is extremely hard on our bodies.
