Sorry. I know this is asked a lot but I need some advice. I need to boost my supply. Gianna is gaining weight, but not enough. She's below the 5th percentile for weight. Not good. She's tiny to begin with but this isn't great news. The doctor said that he wanted us to add 1 tsp formula to her bottles when she goes to day care and for me to take fenugreek to increase my supply and eat 3000 calories a day--that sounds excessive to me. Gianna should be eating 4 oz each meal, but she isn't. She takes 2 1/2-3 oz. When I pump, I get 1 1/2-2 1/2 oz out of both breasts, and I pump every 2 hours which mimics her eating schedule. So, what can I do to increase my supply? I'm really worried about her.
Any tried and true methods for increasing supply? Thanks!

try: oatmeal in the morning, fenugreek, tons of water, and most importantly-rest...i find that my supply increases when I sleep (which is hard to do), but even just sitting and not being on my feet helps. the lactation cookies also help me.
good luck!
I used More Milk Plus and had good results. Ditto on drinking LOTS of water. Also, have you tried massage and breast compressions while you're pumping. That made a difference for me, too.
