Nighttime Contractions

For the last 3 nights I have been getting (what I think) are actually kind of painful (and really painful if I stand up) contractions.  The first two nights I only felt 2 or 3 (I may have slept through more though), but last night I was so excited because they were regular for a little while and then they fizzled out!  Anyone have previous experience with these?  My sister said this happened with her first a couple of nights before she went into labor so I am REALLY hoping!!  As of Friday I was only 1cm dialated and 25% effaced though.

    I have been contracting regularly for 2 weeks now.  I am 2 cm's and 90% effaced and nadda.  I am being induced Saturday.

    Good luck with that. I've been contracting at regular intervals in the evenings for almost two weeks. They start around 7pm, last until 7am (5-10 minutes apart and anytime I roll over), and then peter out during the day to a few an hour.

     I have an irritable uterus so I have been having timeable contractions since 33 weeks...did you have a full bladder? I notice that at night they are much more painful if I have a full bladder. Hopefully yours turn into real labor soon! (since you are full term!!)

    Thank you!  I've been having contractions for months but they just "changed" to painful!  Yes, when I would get up I would have a full bladder and those times it was hard to walk to the bathroom so that must be why!  Thank you!

    I've been doing this at night for the past few days too. It's enough to wake me up but by day time there is nothing. I don't really understand. Maybe just getting BH's at night?
