Surgery Update

First, thank you all soooo much for your thoughts. Surgery this morning went well. They couldn't salvage any of my ovary so I'm left with one. It was the size of a large baking potato. Gross, huh?

Anyhow, it doesn't affect any future pregnancies and I don't know if we'll try again or not but at least I know I could if we wanted to. Honestly, seeing pregnant women everywhere doesn't affect me in the least. It's the newborns that make me weepy. I think we might be done biologically. But, we've said since we met that we'd love to adopt. So, perhaps bigger things will come.

That's about it. I'm stuck here through Friday so I'll be online more :)

Re: Surgery Update

Indifferent  You poor thing- I'm so sorry you've had to deal with all of this.  I hope you have a speedy recovery.  And you are so right, bigger things will come for you guys.

  • Kim! I'm so glad things went well. Did you ask if you could keep it after they were done? Just kidding. ;) I'm the sort of nut that kept my own wisdom teeth when they pulled them - I'd probably want to keep other things too. LOL.

Feel better soon and bigger and better are totally on the way!

  • Myrall, sick minds think alike. I asked to keep it but they had to send it to pathology. She's bringing me pictures tomorrow. LOL

  • So glad that your surgery went well and that that part of this whole ordeal is OVER for you!  I think adoption is a fantastic idea, and one that folks should keep in mind more than they probably do.  I'd like to adopt one day, maybe, if timing and finances line up for us.  Hope you are resting and taking it easy with frequent hugs and kisses from two of our all-time favorite kids!

((HUGS)) Thinking of you, Kim. I am sorry you are dealing with all of this right now. I am glad that the surgery went OK and there were no complications, etc.

If you decide to go that route ... adoption is a beautiful thing. :o)
