Onlline registry or In Store?

Hello ladies,

I would love your opinions as you all have been through babyshowers as the reciepent. I'll be attending a shower this weekend and I'm looking at the registries online.

If I order selected items online I do not know when they would arrive and so likely would have them shipped to the MTB and at the shower give a card with a list of the items to be expecting.

The other option is to purchase the items likely hours before the shower and have them in hand at the shower.

If this was your baby shower, which would you prefer?

    Personally, I think it's more fun to open the gifts in person!  If the MTB is traveling to come to her shower and is going to have to cart stuff home via car/plane, then go with the online idea (but print off pictures of what you bought). HTH

    Personally, if I was the one receiving the gift, I wouldn't care how it came... I would just be grateful.  However, as the gift giver, I always feel bad coming empty handed to a shower- so I usually at least get a gift card if I can't get an item off the registry.  The exception to the rule is when the recipient lives out of state and would have to haul or pay to ship the stuff.  In that case, I always order it and have it sent to their house.  Sorry, I wasn't much help.

    Thanks. I don't care to go empty handed and she's not traveling too far for the shower. So I think I'll likely just grin and bear the earlier morning and face the crowds before the shower.

    Since she's not traveling far, I'd get the gift in store.  I wouldn't want to go to a shower empty handed, as a guest.  And, I also LOVE opening baby gifts.  Everything is always so fun and cute.

    Just go in to the store w/ a few gift ideas in mind, as the store doesn't always have your first choice in stock, or someone else purchased it since you made your decision.
