Probably a stupid question but ....

(warning for TMI)

do contractions make you feel like you have to poop?  I've been getting a few here and there (though not as many as I think I should be having considering I'm a week away from DD) but lately when I get one, I swear it feels like I have to poop so badly.

    Yes. My darling daughter is SO LOW, so I assume its her pushing on my bowels when I'm contracting.

    Guess it means everythings working well though, cuz she's going lower when I contract. Woot!

    The pressure is completely normal.  Often before going into active labor, you will feel pressure like you need to use the bathroom.  I hope it's soon for you!

    Yes. Labor feels like that.  When you push, that's where you push from.  Fun, hey?

    My doctor told me that with their first kid, his wife kept getting out of bed thinking she had to poo when she was going into labor.
