Non-Clicky Poll: Where does your LO sleep?

I couldn't figure out the dang clicky poll so I'll just do this.

DH is getting annoyed that DS is still in our room. DS's room would be right by the hall where doors slam, parties happen and I've seen a ton of bugs in there, plus the window leaks air and water. I'm trying to tell him that there are a lot of people who have their LO in their room for quite a while. Esp since he still wakes up a minimum of 2-3 times a night.

Re: Non-Clicky Poll: Where does your LO sleep?

  • we wanted to cosleep for as long as possible.  around 5 months all of our plans went to shiit because the 3 of us were walking zombies.  we moved L to her crib around 5 1/2 months and things have been 100x better.

  • She's been in her crib since about 10 weeks when she got too long for her bassinet.

  • He sleeps in his room in his crib, but when DH deploys, I'm moving his crib into our room so that I don't have to trudge down the hall multiple times a night. He'll still be in his bed, though.?

  • She got the boot at 6m.
  • DD was in our room for the first 7 weeks.  She returned to our room for most of month 5 when we couldn't get her to sleep.  Whatever works for you, but we didn't get much sleep when DD was in our room.  She was the only one who slept well.  We have a fan or vaporizer in her room to act as a sound machine.  I'm not sure what to say about the bugs without more details.  That kinds of creeps me out.
  • My room. My older 2 moved to their own room at 2 and 3, but they are still welcome in my bed if they choose (they rarely do). Maile is welcome in my bed as long as she feels she needs to be.
  • His crib in his room starting at 11 weeks. He has been waking up during the night and sleeping with us.

  • We moved DD from the PnP in our room to her crib in her room at 5 weeks.  She was such a noisy sleeper!
  • We used to co-sleep, but we moved DS into his crib in his room around 6 months. It was what worked for us... but to each his own!
  • DD goes down in her crib at 7 p.m. and usually comes in our bed at her first waking around 11 p.m. for the rest of the night. I look forward to snuggling with her!
  • DD started sleeping in her crib in her room around 2-2.5 months.
  • When she goes down for the night she's in her crib, when she wakes for to eat she then comes into our bed. I need to sleep & I'm afraid of falling asleep in the glider while feeding her and dropping her.

  • He's been in his crib since 8 weeks. We did drag him into bed with us for awhile though halfway through the night when he was having some sleep issues.

  • We moved DS to his own room at 6 months.  His own room is about 10 feet from our bed.  I can see him if I leave both doors open, but I close his door to keep DD from waking him.  He sleeps in a pack n play and wakes up 3 or 4 times per night.
  • Transitioned to the crib in her own room between 3-4 months.
  • In her crib, in the nursery, since about 4 months.  She won't sleep in bed with us, she just wants to chat.

  • Ds slept in our room till he was 6.5 mo. now he sleeps in his crib in his room
  • My boys share a room down the hall.  My little one moved in with his big brother sometime around the 4-5month mark.  They sleep great, and so do we.

FWIW, we don't have parties anymore when the kids are around.  If there is an event that is going to be loud, the kids are farmed out.

It's pretty easy to replace a window.  As for the bugs, get rid of them.

promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
  • He's been in his room since 8 weeks - however he still ends up in bed with us all the time.  We've been dealing with sleep issues on and off.

  • Wow-I think I have everyone beat. I moved Addie to her own room and crib at 4 weeks old. We all started sleeping better and she was STTN by 5 weeks-probably coincidence.
  • He goes to sleep in our bed, I move him to his room/crib when I go to bed and then bring him in with us when he wakes up.  He will spend anywhere from 1-5 (normally 2-3) hours in his room in the middle.
  • DD has slept in her crib in her room since 3 months before that she slept in her pack n play in the living room.
  • My LO sleeps in our room.  I have a crib next to our bed, but he usually ends up in our bed before morning.

  • In his crib since he was 2 months or so. He was getting too long for the bassinet!

He STTN since 4 weeks though (even w/ EBF!) so it wasn't a big deal.

  • Crib in her own room at 4 months old.  Sleeps awesome, plus DH and I get good sleep as well... helps for being productive at work the next day!  I've tried to let her sleep in our bed but she moves too much and I am scared she will roll off or get squished....
