No Flu Shots Left!!!??

So, I called my regular family dr to schedule an appt to come in to get the regular flu shot. Well, they told me they are all out & don't know when or if they will have more! Told me to go to my local CVS or Walgreens. I then asked them about the H1N1 shot and they don't know when they will be getting that in. WTH!! So, I call CVS, they are all out. I call Walgreens, they are all out!!! What? Now what do I do? I have never gotten a flu shot in my life & have been back & forth whether or not to get it, and now that I decided to & OB told me I had to, I can't even get it!!! Go figure!!! Anyone else having this problem? They usually have flu clinics in our county, but they have been canceled due to not having enough! Crazy!!!!

Luckily I got to my OB in time for my regular flu shot, but as far as the H1N1 shot, they have no idea when they are getting them in!!! There was a shortage or something so now I have no idea when I will get it.

I had the same problem. My PCP was out and all of the Walgreens and CVS's were too. I just got one this past Saturday at Target. Check your local targets, they have multiple days were they have clinics and you can get the regular flu shot.

Since the people making the regular flu shot were forced to switch over to making the H1N1 vaccine, the supply has quickly dried up. I manged to get into our CVS for DD last week and they were 10 minutes away from totally running out. I'd gotten mine earlier in Oct. The H1N1 is the challenge- the dr.'s offices aren't being told when or if they'll be receiving it. I don't like being the crazy person calling in every week, but that's what they're telling me to do, for my OB's office and for DD's pedi's office.

Uh oh! Walmart had a little clinic set up in it this weekend and I got mine then. It seems like the east coast is running out of it faster than here. I havent heard of anywhere here being out! I would try calling any walmarts around you to see if they have any.. or better yet, just start calling any pharmacies (in grocery stores too!)- some place over there must have them!

I went to the one in Mount Laurel one, they were supposed to have another one November 7th, but I just went to the Target website and they are no saying they can't guarantee shots due to a nationwide shortage. The Voorhees one was supposed to do it this Saturday, maybe call them and see if they still plan to? I also heard that some of the Acme's and Shoprites were doing it. According to the Shoprite website the Moorestown one is 10/21 from 4-8, Mount Laurel is 10/22 from 10-2, Delran is 10/22 from 4-8, https://www.shoprite.com/cnt/documents/Flushot2009Schedule101009.pdf.

I am in the EXACT same situation as you!! All out! Everywhere!!! Plus, my Dr said that the flu shots that clinics use are NOT recommended for pregnant women.

Same boat. I tried 3 times to get a shot in September (had to call around a bunch to find the preservative free version that is safe for pregnancy) and wasn't able to get it then. Now nobody has ANY vaccine, nevermind the preservative free one.

I'm still on the fence about the H1N1 shot. I'm not 100% sure that I want to get it.

I was venting about this the other day too! I did get a regular flu shot a few weeks ago but I cannot find the H1N1 shot anywhere. My OB said they would be getting it in and would treat all pg patients. Now they are saying only the high risk OB patients first-and if there is any left they will do more-because they dont think they are getting as much as they initially thought...and then I called my primary care Dr and they dont have any yet either-and dont know when they willl get it, They told me to call back in a week-which they told me to do the same 2 weeks ago. I hate this. Do NOT convince me I MUST do this and then say oh wait, can't help ya! Grrrrrr.

Thanks everyone! Glad to know I'm not the only one. I did finally find a local pharmacy that is giving out the flu shots tomorrow. Not sure when the H1N1 shot will be out though. Hopefully soon! It's getting pretty scary out there!
