2nd choice daycare closing

My husband and I visited four daycares and debated between 2 we really liked.  One is on campus where I work and the other is really near home.  In the end we chose the one near home b/c my husband could help with picking LO up and if I wasn't going to the office one day the one at work would be horribly inconvenient.  Good thing we chose the way we did.  I just read an article that the one at my work is closing as of 12/31!  I would have been f*ed!

They actually called me today and left a voicemail about our spot on the roster.  I called back and told them we'd chosen another facility (assuming they were waiting for me to call with Mal's info).  They never bothered to tell me they were closing and just said "ok thanks".  I guess I didn't need to know at that point but still....

I feel very lucky right now!

    Glad you made the right choice! That would be so frustrating to have to find a new daycare!
