has anyone else experienced this?

in 2nd Trimester

So my belly button has been getting shallower and shallower for weeks. This week it started hurting a little bit but I figure no big deal, it's just getting ready to pop. Well today it's bleeding! Wtf is going on? Is this normal?!?!?!

I don't recall ever reading this on the boards and I've been around here for years so I thought I'd ask.

    My belly button has definitely been getting shallow.. its almost flush with my tummy now! But it definitely has not bled... that is odd! Where is it bleeding from?

    I'm not real sure, somewhere in the part where it goes way in. I obviously can't see in there real well but it's odd.

    I would call the OB on that one. Any time something bleeds for no reason, I call a doctor. But thanks for warning me! My pupik was hurting really badly over the weekend, and maybe that is why!

    I just lurk here (someone brought this thread to my attention thinking I could help).. 

    Have you ever had an umbillical hernia repaired?  Sometimes, they do it when you are a baby. 

    I had mine repaire over 2 years ago and the surgeon told me when I did get pregnant, it would definitely rupture. 

    Maybe that helps?

    I haven't had one that I know about (the umbilical hernia) but I have a call in to the doc so we'll see what they have to say. I'm so sick of going to their office so hopefully they tell me it's nothing to worry about.

    LOL I have a "butt crack" belly button (or so I have been told by mean older brother). I have noticed that the "crack" or separation has begun to get wider as I get further in my pregnancy. I think it's quite hilarious.

    I am not sure about the bleeding. I hope when I get further that doesn't happen.
