Spotting after sex is pretty common. And aaaaaall the books and everything say sex cannot cause a m/c. That said... DH and I have had sex like, twice in the last 3 weeks. That is saaaaaad.
The whole time we had sex last night, all I could think about was causing a possible m/c. Now today I'm spotting... Ugh....
Sex can cause a small amount of spotting...mainly because the increased blood going through ... well ... everywhere. If you're really concerned call the doc. Most likely everything is 100% ok.
When I was around 5 to 6 weeks I spotted, very minimally, after me and DH had sex.It freaked me out so bad...i cried. I called the doc (well, NP answered the phone) and they said no intercourse until my first appt. Well, I haven't had spotting sense. I'm sure everything is okay.
I was a little freaked out and worried that it would be painful. Plus I think I have a cyst that makes sex painful. It was fine, but I'm still not in the mood.
Sex, a pap, a transvag ultrasound - all can cause spotting because the region has higher bloodflow and your cervix is softer and can be more prone to bleeding. It's perfectly normal and sex will not cause a miscarriage unless your doctor has specifically ordered pelvic rest. If you're concerned, call your doc.
It's been about a month since DH & I have had sex which is sad cause we've only been married for a month and a half. I feel bad for him, but the m/s makes me feel worse...
Good thing he's a good sport and hasn't complained once!
I must be going though the cant get enough stage. I'm sure my DH wishes I had been prego the last 8 years.
Your little hands wrapped around my finger and its so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eye lids flutter cause your dreamin so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you've got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have hunny, if you could stay like that
Oh darling dont you ever grow up, dont you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling dont you ever grow up dont you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I wont let nobody hurt you, wont let no one break your heart, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up

When I talked to my NP, she said that if I ever had any spotting after sex, I should wait a week before having sex again. I still makes me nervous though, but I'm sure everything is fine.
It has been off limits for us since BFP as well, and he totally understands. I had a m/c last year and OB said it would be best to try to avoid at least until I get to my 1tri. As sick as I have been trust me I don't miss it. For now DH has to be content with other methods, and trust me no complaints there.
I am having a hard time with this as well...I am normally really into sex and haven't been since we found out....the first time we tried it freaked me out and it was somewhat uncomfortable...the past few times have gotten better...it is not the spotting I am worried about I think it is the fact that there is a little person in there and well yeah...my husband has been so awesome about this...he hasn't been complaining...I have actually been apologizing a lot lately...I am just not in the mood....I haven't had any m/s at all...just feel different all over and down there...ugghhh...poor guy....maybe I will just have to get it together and surprise him with a go around tonight!
MH has gotten it more in the past week than he did the whole month before that, and he was even gone for 4 days! What can I say, I guess being impregnated with his child turns me on.
Well, I hope that your spotting rights itself, and feel free to call your doc up to make sure that everything is cool. I just haven't felt interested one bit in intimacy (much to my husband's dismay) for the past, umm...yep - right about 13 weeks now! But you can't force these things, you know?! Hope things look up for you soon.
OMG your poor DH's!!! LOL IMO having sex is amazing during pregnancy... Once you out of your 1st trimester (I can understand being worried, but just don't do it rough haha) make sure you get your daily dose! LOL
It isn't really that I am not into it right now, but more that it just feels so, I don't know, amplified or something. And not in a good way. It almost feels like scraping (sorry). I had to kick DH outta there last night, and I feel bad for him cause ever since I got the bfp he is sooo turned on (sorry again). I have a feeling he is going to be going it alone for a while
My best friend forund out she was preg in the beginning of sept and refuses to have sex until her first US (which is going on right now). She wants to make sure everything is o.k. I on the the other hand was having sex until my first US and they told me I have placenta previa----no more sex for me till next US which is about 10 wks.

I'm not necessarily worried about the spotting, but the ONE TIME we did after the BFP, I had a bit of cramping, the movement made me sick to my stomach, as well as the "sex smell" (which used to be great)
I rushed to the bathroom after and puked for 15 minutes.
I totally feel the same way...so nervous. Funny thing that my ob said..."if sex caused miscarriages, there wouldn't be abortions". Made me feel a little better. Now I am just to exhausted to have sex!!
Re: Never having sex again!
Stay positive!
Yeah, my DH hasn't gotten any since the BFP, and it's not looking good for him right now with the pukies starting up.
He's been a good sport about it so far. I think he's scared of spotting too.
Ditto!

My BFP Chart
We still have it 2-3 times a week. It's a priority for me.
A little bit of spotting is totally OK/normal. Unless you are on vaginal rest for an incompetent cervix, sex is totally fine.

Oh good I'm not the only one.
Yeah we've tried it once...not happening again anytime soon. Just was awkward for us bc normally we're so into it and we were trying to be careful.
Plus the m/s is not making me feel real sexy lol.

No sex here, either.
