I really don't want to cry in front of everyone but I have a feeling I might start crying when I open up baby gifts! Did you cry at all during your baby shower?
Thanks ladies! I feel better already! I just don't want to look like a crying fool! lol. I didn't even cry at any of my ultrasounds! I don't like to cry in public but was was afraid the hormones would get the better of me!

if you cry people will find it adorable, so don't sweat it.
I bawled my eyes out and sobbed!! It was the last gift. My sister has twins. My Grandma made her LOs baby blankets (crocheted). Both of us were super close to my Grandma who passed away 2 years ago. It is really hard for me to know she will never know my LO. Anyway to the shower my sister crocheted the two blankets together and gave them to me at my shower.
OK I am crying now typing it! I was a mess at the shower and so was most people in the room. Everyone knows my Grandma was my best friend and she meant the world to me.
yes....on a few occasions. My Godmother, whom I am very close with, was not able to make it (she lives 7 hours away). I cried when I opened the gifts she had sent along with a beautiful note...I could literally hear her saying every word of it (it was about being a Mom).
I also cried when my sister gave me a precious frame with 4 of my ultrasound pics. in it with a very emotional poem. We had tried for sooo long to conceive, I just never thought the day would come that I would be at my own baby shower. The poem kinda sums all of those emotions up.
Crying is nothing to be ashamed of.....especially when they are tears of pure joy!!
I did because DH's grandma made me a bouquet of flowers made from washcloths and made it from my baby with a really cute note that brought everyone to tears.

Once I start crying, I can't stop! It won't be pretty! LOL.

Nope, no tears here.
I LOVE the dress you are wearing in your siggy pic!
Yes... my mom gave me a bag of things that my dad and I did when I was a baby and little notes to explain them. My dad passed away when I was 3, and although I was only 3, I was daddy's girl. Actually tomorrow is the 24th anniversary of his death.
Each item had a little note of why she included it. It was very touching, and even pre-pregnancy I would have bawled my eyes out.

I'm really hoping I don't, I am so emotional now though. Luckily, my sister knows I hate crying in front of people and she told me that someone is making a baby blanket for Ryan.

I've cried at every baby related thing so far (all the ultrasounds, the first heartbeat, telling my parents, telling a few colleagues/friends) - I am a total mess thinking about having this baby (out of happiness - I am a happy crier!).
BUT I did NOT cry at my shower. I skipped over reading a lot of the cards and saved that and the "new mom advice" for later because I knew I might lose it. Either way, people will love it. I actually joked at the end that I made it through without crying. I cried at my bridal shower years ago so they were ready for my weeping!

Nope, but I haven't been emotional during this pregnancy at all. I've been more calm than I have been in years (I've suffered from anxiety disorder for the past 8 years and it has disappeared since my BFP).
Re: Did you cry at your baby shower?
I teared up at the very end of opening presents because my sisters surprised me and bought me the BOB jogging stroller.
They were surprised/happy/holycrapican'tbelieveit tears. lol
