It's all unnecessary. Just buy a few crib sheets and save yourself some money. The bumpers are supposedly dangerous, we never used one. And you can't put a blanket in with your LO until they are older so the quilt is useless. I just bought a crib skirt for $15 and a few sheets for $10 each. Way cheaper and easier!
I did not use the bumper for the first 6 months since she was swaddled. I started using it at 6 months when she got her leg caught in the bars and screamed bloody murder and scared the crap out of both of us. It's still in there now and she is 12 months. Her mattress is the all the way down so it's not like it'll help her climb out. It collapses when she stands on it. She's all over the crib at night so I just leave it in.
And it is the bumper from her set. The actual blanket/cover thing is worthless. You can just use it as decoration in the room.
I took it out at 9.5 months... and then I put it back in a couple weeks later. He kept getting stuck in the bars and was having a horrible time at night. He never stands on them and I'm not too worried about it.
I think the general rule is that you're supposed to take it out when they get mobile enough to stand in the crib.
We never put the bumper in. He is fine without it, but he doesn't move when he sleeps. Our quilt is just used as decoration, hanging on the wall. All we use are crib sheets and the skirt.
Once the baby is mobile a bumper should come out of the crib, it's more dangerous than them bumping into the slats. I switched to the breathable bumpers and will probably just use that for my next baby and not bother putting the bumper that came with the bedding back in. I do use the quilt that came with mine alot for her night time routine, we use it to sit on and read books. But the quilt that came with mine was really nice and comfy, some of them are pretty dinky and not worth the money.

Pretty much this but the bumpers have been in there since day one! I don't plan to remove them.
I am by the book when it comes to SIDS safety so I woulnd never use a bumper or a blanket. We use Breathable bumpers and sleep sacs (even my toddler likes them better.)
We removed it at about 4 months when Z was rolling over. Pedi said not to have it in the crib b/c he could get stuck in the corner and not be able to breathe. And now he can stand and bounce in his crib, so we can't have one to help him propel himself out of the crib. We still haven't used the quilt.
Re: ? from 2nd trier--When do you remove bumper?

Bedding is not necessary.
