What are you favorite healthy pregnancy snacks?

    Ha! Yes, I'll need to avoid any temptation to get near the Halloween candy. 

    I keep stashes of trail mix (with chocolate chips included, of course), granola bars, instant oatmeal, dried fruit, mozzarella string cheese. Things that are easy to grab but filling.

  • Clementines, I have been eating them non-stop.  Apples too.
  • I've just started trying to eat some snacks because I was told I needed to eat more. I've been eating string cheese, apples with peanut butter or peanut butter and jelly on whole grain bread or crackers. They want me to boost my calories and I can't eat a lot of food, so my dr. recommended peanut butter and ice cream as things that at least have more calories as well as some protein and calcium.

    LOL, I assume chocolate chip cookies aren't a good idea either.

    When I'm being good, I try to keep veggies cut up in the fridge so I'll have them instead of something unhealthy.  I also like apples (although I like to dip them in caramel sauce so that's probably not too good either :)).

  • Today I feel great (much improvement from the past few days) and am eating a ton of grapes. I dont know what it is about them, but they are making me feel great!

  • Apples LOTS and LOTS of apples. I eat one or two a day.

  • I like oranges, honey crisp apples, peanuts (I'm like a kid - but I prefer the ones in the shells), yogurt (don't do the fat free kind, it has aspertame, get the regular yogurt).  And a lot of nights where I just don't feel like eating a big dinner, I eat cereal (Grape Nuts or Cheerios). 

    And lets not forget the occasional kit kat or twix bar!  :)

  • Almonds....I love almonds right now, which is weird because I hated nuts pre-pg!  I also like string cheese, granola bars, and cereal (I try to do the whole grain, less sugary versions these days).
