We had such a sucky time in the hospital so I just gave up and pumped. Tonight he was so worked up so I thought I'd try to nurse him. Low and behold he latched on and nursed. I am in such a good mood now!
My DD does great with the right boob, but has a supreme hatred for the left. I'm nursing on the right and pumping on the left at every feeding...booo. Hopefully she comes around soon.

You may have tried this already...but try to "trick" her. latch her on the right in whatever positioner you usually do, say cross cradle, let her nurse a few minutes, then unlatch her & slide her over to football on the left. (Or vice versa). Keep her int he same position, don't sit her up etc, keep her turned on the same side. You may be able to trick her or she just may be more comfy turned one way vs. the other. Good Luck!

Thank you so much! I've tried different positions, but haven't tried the sliding over thing...maybe she'll fall for it

I found that this and expressing BM right into DS' mouth got him to eventually latch onto the right boob on his own. He hated it in the beginning. Expressing is a pain (for real!), but it's better than having to pump after every feeding. :-)
Re: AW: DS just latched on
Yay! That is great news! Go Henry!
