yumm.. LOVE homemade applesauce. My gram makes it and it is delicious! I've been meaning to make some too, but haven't had the motivation to do so. Hopefully this weekend I will!!!

This is the one I used, granted I had 32+ lbs of apples to use...
12 Apples, washed and cut in quarters (no need to peel or core) 1/2 c Sugar 2 ts Cinnamon 2 tb Butter or margarine 1/2 c Water
Put all in a large pot and simmer, stirring often. Check to maintain liquid level the first 10 minutes, and add water, if necessary, only to avoid scorching. Apples will start to add juice until, when they are cooked and mushy (about 20 minutes for a large pot). liquid will have reached top of apples. Sieve (old-fashioned type with a crank-type handle) in batches, and serve immediately (hot).

4 med. apples
3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
Peel and cut apples, add water, sugar, and cinnamon to the cut apples. Put into a pan with a cover for 15-20 minutes. Mash like potatoes. Enjoy!!
