Who OBVIOUSLY should not be set up?
Some of you know my backstory with my S/O and that we were not doing well for a while. Things have been better and I have been really happy with the way things are going.
Today, S/O comes home and tells me that he was talking to his friend about our relationship, and this "friend" offered to set him up with another friend if we didn't work out.
WTF?!!?!?!?! Who the eff does that/says that? Seriously???? UGH! I am never ever ever speaking to this friend of his again. We own a home together and just had a child, are you fvucking kidding me?
I am glad he told me, but I wish he wouldn't have. I am in tears.
Re: Why do people offer to set people up...
what an ass. i would be upset too.
i would be curious what SO was telling said friend.
hopefully the friend is just a really HUGE ass.
What a jerk of a friend!! I'm so sorry that he said that. At least your SO was upfront with you about what he said ... to the PPs, if they've been having problems, he might have been asking his friend for advice (and obviously needed to provide background information). It was a douchetastic thing to say, but he may have been just joking to try to lighten the mood, y'know?
OP, I'd be upset, too, especially if SO and I were recently having problems and struggling to get through them. Is your DH trying to comfort you at least?
