I've having some serious buyers remorse right now. I took some of DS's professional pictures to be professionally framed. I didn't want to put expensive photos in cheap frames since they will yellow over time. I had a coupon for 50% off, so I figure that it might cost between $200-$300 to have 4 pictures framed. When all was said and done, it was $900!!! That was with the 50% off! I knew that it would be expensive, but talk about sticker shock!
I had spent all of that time picking out frames and mats... and the coupon expires at the end of the month anyway... so I just did it.
I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. I'm going to go back and only do two of them...
Re: DH is going to kill me (money)...
ridiculous.
HOLY CRAP! How much is it going to cost for just the 2?
I know how you feel though. You should have seen my face when my DH walked into the room last week and said "Hey Jen, did you realize that you spent $700.00 last week?"
Online shopping has become my weakness
I sold a few of my bikes and have been saving because I knew that I wanted the pro pics taken. I didn't realize that it was so expensive to have them matted and framed!
ditto.
wow, i had no idea this kind of framing cost so much. i have a family friend who does this for a living (and restores expensive paintings), and for our wedding gift, she matted our invitation and framed it and it looked awesome, and i thought it was really nice, but i didn't realize how nice.
Holy crap, are they matted with gold and framed in platinum? There is no excuse for that amount. I would have laughed in the person's face and walked out with my unmatted, unframed photos. Target frames will work just fine, TYVM.

Ditto ... and I'd kill him if he did the same!
True story. I thought a $80 frame for our wedding picture was a splurge.
Ditto.
