where can I donate pacifiers? Can I even donate (opened) pacifiers?

I have a bag of pacifiers that I've collected over the past three years ... neither kid takes or uses or likes the paci.

I don't want to just throw them out and my consignment shop and the local goodwill won't take them because they are opened/have been inserted into the mouth at least once.

ideas?

  • Have you checked local women shelters? Sometimes they take things others won't because they need so much.

  • Well, I had a bag of paci's that my oldest child wouldn't take and I gave them to his 'teacher' at daycare. She sterilized them and kept them as back ups. These were paci's that came in a 2 pack and he tried one so I gave them the opened pack with the remaining paci inside. I'm sure some of the ones he had tried were in the bag too...But they literally had been spit out once. I don't know if that's weird or not:)
  • I would try the women's shelters.  They can sterilize them.
