3rd Trimester

Apple pie dilemma.

I have a slice of apple pie in the fridge.  My DD is playing ever so contently with her play kitchen right now.

I really want to eat my apple pie, but if she sees me with it, she will want to share with me.  By share, I mean that she will want to eat my pie, and I might get a bite of it.  Maybe two bites if I'm lucky.

Naptime is an hour away.

What to do?  Nice mommy who shares pie?  Mean mommy (and hungry mommy) who waits till naptime?

Re: Apple pie dilemma.

  • open the fridge and take a bite of it, then wait till nap time :)

  • That's a MUCH better dilemma than a diet coke dilemma.

Can you cut it in "half" and share it? And by "half," I mean 75% / 25%?

  • Wait until naptime....you deserve that pie!!
  • I have some experience in this and I say absolutely wait until naptime!!  And if you think that's mean....I ate DD's hostess chocolate cupcakes last night after she went to bed!!  She had forgotten about them, anyway.  Embarrassed

  • Wait for it Smile It will taste more delicious in 1 hour when you know it's all yours!
  • cut off a sliver for DD, you can get your pie out and if she sees you eating it give her the small slice.  If she doesn't see you then you can eat the small slice at nap time.

    yumm

  • kids dont need pie...pregnant women need pie.

  • Wait for naptime, mama! FOR SURE. *lol*
  • i would share because my son would eat 10%, so with that in mind, early naptime?
  • Haha. I've had this problem with candy and DS a bunch of times. I've never been very good at sharing so I always try to sneak it; I've been busted more than once. Good luck.
  • Naptime, for sure!  I try and be the good mommy with limiting the number of sweets my kids have (we have graham crackers, animal crackers, fruit, fudgecicles, etc. in our house), but all I've wanted to do is eat junk food.  Of course, if DD#1 (who is 3) sees me with any of this stuff, I'm up the creek.  I always sneak it when I'm not around them.  So bad, I know!
