Parenting after a Loss

Oh man, we're so in trouble huh?

DS is scooting around on his belly like crazy now. He's really getting places. And he wants to get into *Everything*. He's already pulling temper tantrums when we have to pull him away from something. We're not totally baby proofed yet, so I guess that's the project for the rest of the day! I just don't know how to keep this kid occupied. Its like he's been drinking coffee he's so hyper....ugh, he's just like my DH. Sigh.

  • DS is EXACTLY the same way. Its so freaking adorable but also so much work...I hear it doesn't get much better until they are old enough to be couch potatoes Stick out tongue DS def loves his independant play time right now so we got one of those play yards that is a big plastic pen type thing. We put him in there and then I just sit next to it and *bump* or get some small chores done. We call it 'the baby cage' We never got a PNP b/c I think it would just be too small for him to enjoy. FWIW we bought ours at BRU for like $70 but apparently the exact same thing is sold at the pet store for dogs for a bunch cheaper. Like I'm talking exact same thing, same brand, same package and everything but it has a puppy on the box and not a baby. I didn't know this until after I bought it and I'm still not sure about buying a dog pen for DS but still I guess it would save some bucks.

  • Lol! That's funny!  I would get one of those if I didn't think DS would absolutely freak out about being restrained from getting around. I'm not too sure I'd have room for it either. We do have a pnp but he's not used it yet except to sleep in when he stays with my mom. It is so small, he'd have no room to wiggle around and that's what he loves to do.
  • Same story here! My DD is definitley scooting, almost crawling.. and the thing she wants to get the most is the cat beds so she can put her mouth on them. GROSSSS (they are just COVERED in fur).. And she has also started throwing tantrums when we move her or take away something she wants.
