I like to bake and cook lots of yummy things. However, I'm trying to not pack on the lbs during my pregnancy, and I don't want to make DH fat. So...to get in my "need" to make yummy things and feed my DH said yummy things, I woke up early this morning and baked fresh-from-the-oven Apple Strudel muffins. I had one after they were finished, and offered one to DH. However, he was on a work call, so he said no thanks. That's fine.
DH then takes the 23 muffins into work and only has his lunch packed for the day because the muffins were supposed to be his breakfast (and obviously some to share with his co-workers). Well...he finally logged into chat a couple of hours after being at work. I asked him how the muffins went and he said everyone loved them and they were gone within minutes! YAY!
I then asked "Did you get enough to eat for breakfast?" He said "I didn't get one."
WHY?!? Why did you not grab one of the freakin' muffins that I spent an hour and a half baking for you this morning while the basket was probably sitting right beside you?!? WHY???

Re: NBR: DH vent
How annoying!! I love to bake but DH isn't really a sweets person so I'm used to him not eating the things I make, or only eating a little bit.
I'm sure the muffins were fantastic, maybe he just didn't want anything sugary so early in the day?
Maybe...but I think mostly he just wanted to give away as many as he could. lol He like to AW my "domestic skills" as much as I do.
He told me next week I can make carrot cake muffins. lol I told him that if he doesn't get any of the muffins next week, that'll be it for my early morning muffin making escapades.
Well that's an even better reason for not having any
You'll have to sneak one into his lunch bag or something just to make sure.
Hmmm...should've thought of that. lol
Hopefully I'll remember this idea come next monday!
