DD couldnt fall asleep last night at normal time...was fussing and eventually started crying so I went in and she felt so warm. She had a 100 temp under her arm. I gave her Tylenol and she let me rock her to sleep. She eventually fell asleep 1 1/2 hrs after her normal bedtime. She slept all night with a couple fusses here and there and is still sleeping now at 710 am...she normal wakes at 630 at the very very latest. She had no other symptoms last night but did have a very fussy day and wouldnt eat hardly any dinner. Should I go in and wake her??? She has made a few noises since 530 but then immediately rolls over and goes back to sleep. I'm a little worried about her but want her to rest too. WWYD?
Re: Do you wake your baby to check temp when they are sick?
I personally don't unless it's really high. She only had a really high fever once (104).
I am always of the opinion that if they're sleeping, they need it.
my son has a double ear infection so i've been on fever duty all weekend. i give him motrin right before bed and that keeps the fever around 101 (still high) but it's better than 103. throughout the night i will put a cool towel on his head and try to feel him with my face - its usually a good indicator if he's too hot. if he's burning up I will wake him up and pat his body down with cool wash clothes. when they are that sick they usually fall back to sleep (well mine does when he doesn't feel good) GL. I'm sorry - hope she feels better soon.

I do the same thing! To me, he needs the sleep to fight whatever he's fighting so I'll try not to wake him unless it's really necessary.
This same thing. DS will wake me up if he's got a high fever.
