What have your pedis said about your LOs getting the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccines at the same time?

    I thought giving two live vaccines at once was a huge no-no.  Aren't flu vaccines live?

    No; only the nasal mists are live, which children under two can't receive.

    The shots are not live viruses.  just the nasal spray.

    I got both vaccines last week at my OB.

    No, they are NOT live. Get the facts from your Pedi. Both can be given at the same time. The seasonal flu shot is a two- parter for young babies.

    Well, looking at our local flu clinic possibilities, it doesn't look like it'd be possible for him to get both at the same time anyway.

    I am so fed up with being sent in circles to get DS a seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 shot.  Grrrrrr.

    Absolutely not.  The nasal mist contains live.

    OP- I know it's not an option for us so it hasn't come up.

    Sorry for the mix up ladies.  We don't do flu shots in my house, so I'm kind of out of the loop.
