I worked on both ALL day. I got to use the Cricut! I think they turned out great! I'm very pleased...since I have ZERO artistic ability! Check out my blog (in my siggy) for my other wall art and decals that are going on the Robin's egg blue walls!
For the letters: I bought white wooden letters at Michael's. This saved my from having to paint them white. I just covered them with mod podge and scrapbook paper and used the exacto (sp) knife to cute them out.
For the Closet dividers: I bought think wooden circles (also from Michael's) and covered them with mod podge and scrapbook paper. I bought the little birds...although I had hand drawn a bunch already. (those fit better) And then I hot glued the ribbon and the bird on. Since I used glittery paper (and found out that the glitter would come off...on my CARPET!!) I covered the birds with mod podge so the glitter would stay on.
I have Cricut that I used to make the little letters...which came in so handy!
I ran out of little birds...so I only have the 18+ months divider left. It just worked out where that one was the one that didn't get finished!
Thanks everyone! I like to think of myself as a pretty creative person, but most of these ideas came from Baby room bio and other sites on the internet.
Re: I finished our DD's name and closet dividers today!!
Those letters are so adorable! I think you are seriously underestimating your artistic ability.
What materials did you use to make the closet dividers? I've been trying to find something sturdy to make mine, but haven't found any yet.
