Beacon, no I'm making the hour long trip to Northern Dutchess.

I worked at Vassar's ER for a couple of years though. I loved it and only left to go to PA school (and then get KU so I had to leave)

Beacon is a hip place! it used to be terrible but they really fixed it up! Have you done the walkway across the hudson yet?

I go to Woman's Care Center right across the street from NDH. They have an office in Kingston too. Love it because they're holistic and Dr. Bloch really takes his time answering all our questions. And he has acupressure right in his office.

Didn't do the walkway yet. DH really wants to go but he works two jobs so we haven't had time yet.

Beacon's not bad. DH is a real Beaconite (5th generation) so we're really connected. Unfortunately we can only rent now because of the prices and he needs to live in the city (he's a career firefighter).

you are in a good location for a city commuter! Thankfully DH and I run our own business, so we stay local.

I havent done the walkway yet either, and it's only 8 miles from my house.

I used to commute everyday to the city for school (which is why I can't do it anymore). DH is a fireman for Beacon though so he needs to stay here. What kind of business do you have? DH owns an website design/computer solutions company.

I have an environmental remediation company. We do oil spill clean ups and oil related stuff. It's real glamorous. Your DH's line of work (websites) is something I'll have to keep in mind, because I'm always looking to improve ours for the business.

Well I put myself back on nursing list at DCC so I can go to school part time and watch LO. I find out in a couple of weeks if I start in Jan or wait til Sept. Sucks because I only had clinical rotations still down in the City, but it would have been 60 hours a week plus a 4+ hour round trip commute everyday.

DH does really good work, if I do say so myself Smile . His website is FischSolutions.com. (No pressure obviously).

GL with your business. I'm glad everything's getting cleaned up. Beacon has a river pool every year, but I still get freaked that I'm going to start glowing or grow an extra eye if I get in.
