I posted earlier about what questions you would ask the resident hospital pediatrician who was supposed to visit our class tonite (it's the last class).
This pediatrician is whored out throughout the hospital and many private OB/GYN practices. His practice is huge with several locations and everyone I've met either loves him to an eerie fan club status or dislikes his huge monopoly in our area.
So I researched what questions to ask, even bringing some that the gals on here suggested. We show up. Along with everyone else (20 other people) we waited for 45 minutes and he never showed up. Not a call, not a message, nothing.
The class nurse (whom I complained about before and is way too old and incompetent to be teaching a childbirth because she keeps referencing things from 30 years ago) said she did call him a few days ago to remind him. WTF?
We all just sat there waiting for her page him or call again and she did nothing. I think she was perfectly fine sitting there for another hour since she probably had nothing else better to do.
We all left kind of disappointed and mad. We only live 3.5 miles away so wasting an hour was no big deal...but for those folks that live 45 minutes away I felt really bad.
Yeah, maybe he had an emergency or something but at leats call the class! Nada. We won't be using THAT doctor.
Re: what a crock of (*@)(!*@)(! ~ last Birthing Class VENT!
That really sucks, I'd be majorly ticked off too.
it's crazy how fast time goes by though isn't it? it doesn't seem like that long ago we were talking about our first classes and how much they sucked and now they're done! (well, yours are done, i quit mine but they would have finished last week)
it's almost baby time!

what are the odds? we're the only hospital in the area and I'm sure the class supervisor would have said soemthing to a paid class of 22 people. i've heard about his missed presentations before though so I'm learly.
"Wearing his BING CROSBY clothes and crooning...buuuh buuh buuuh"
Even if he missed for a legit reason, sucks that he has a past of this! And yeah, you'd think someone could have called on his behalf if that were the case, but eh. I'd be more annoyed at the nurse who didn't cancel the class when he was 15 min late and not returning calls!
