I love wearing DD when I'm grocery shopping or want to have use of my hands. We have the Ergo and the hotsling. I like the hotsling because she can face out and see what we're doing. Yesterday she kept fussing when I put her in it. I tried it again and she seemed OK. This lady came up to us and said you daughter is so adorable, then she recoiled in horror and said her leg is purple! I was wearing sunglasses so color was hard to see. I pulled her out right away and it turned pink immediately.
Is there anything I can do or should we just discontinue the hotsling? I was so horrified that I might have hurt her that I'm afraid to use it again.
Re: Baby sling help! Her leg turned purple!
Is it too tight on her leg - can you adjust it?
If not, I'd try a different sling. We have a Bjorn and DD and DS both did o.k. in it.

I would guess it's either too small or she wasn't correctly positioned. Pouch slings are hard to get sized right so it's easy to get them too big or too small.

And also - make sure you have the fabric pulled all the way up to her knees and that her knees are higher than her bum. That way there won't be pressure on her legs in a bad way.
