Where did you and DH/FI/SO meet?

The coworker post got me wondering. How did everyone meet there DH/FI/SO? DH and I met at college. He swears I was late for class, but I wasn't. We became friends and kind of started dating before I had a chance to break it off with the guy I was dating at the time. It was a long distance relationship and I hadn't wanted to do it over the phone.

We talked on MSN/phone for a couple of weeks, then decided to meet up for coffee/juice and a movie and we just clicked.

We went to the same school, and had lived in the same neighborhood at the same time, but somehow never met!

DH and I actually met through my ex-H when we were all in high school. We started dating 8 years ago and didn't get married until recently.

We were both stationed in Italy.. We worked same days, same hours and every hour off of work we were together. Our first year together we traveled Italy by train going to different places and back to our favorites.

I randomly added my now FI on yahoo messenger one night when I was bored just because his user name sounded interesting and he only lived 10 miles away. We talked almost every night for a few months. Then his best friend added me on myspace and for some odd reason, he eventually added my best friend. My FI's best friend and my best friend started talking and they eventually wanted to meet, so my FI and I went along just to make them comfortable. We had no intention of actually dating or anything like that, but we hit it off great! We found out that I used to work with his ex wife and I actually partied with one of his ex girlfriends a lot when I was younger. He had heard lots of stories about me, but didn't put it together until we got talking. We've been together for almost 2 years now.

I met his sister in college and she became one of my best friends. He came up to visit her and we hit it off. I don't think she was happy about it at the time, but now we get to be sisters so she's good with it.

We met in college (Univ of Florida) - we were neighbors! We both had GF/BF at the time, so we were good friends. We both broke up with our SO's around the same time and our friendship just blossomed...with the help of typical college parties/alcohol, LOL

But not in the usual hey-what's-your-sign kind of way; it was a country dance club, and I used to go to line dance lessons (yes, I'm a dork) and he worked there. We were friends for almost a year before we started dating.

DH and I met in a cave. We were both members of a college outing club and it was a club sponsored trip. While we were crawling around in the mud he threw a mud ball at me and then ran away giggling. Needless to say it was NOT love at first sight. I was pissed at him for a couple of hours until he made it up to me.
