I found out I have GD on Thursday and I picked up my lovely blood sugar monitor on Friday. I still don't really have a clue of what I'm doing or what I'm supposed to eat since I haven't met with the dietitian yet.
I went out to eat for the first time today since getting the GD news. I guess even if I don't know what I'm doing, I'm doing a decent job of it. 2 hours after eating out, my blood sugar was 93! Hooray, maybe I'm not as clueless as I thought and I'll make it through the next 2 months without a problem.
Victory is MINE!

I'm sorry to hear you're in the same boat as me! My doctor did tell me to get the monitor, but other than that, not much else, I don't see her until Thursday. Anything I've learned about what I should try to do, I learned from the AWESOME gals on this board!
One suggestion, don't google GD. It'll just tell you horror stories!
Good luck on Tuesday! Welcome to the High Risk board, the women on here are soooo supportive and informative.
