Lucius. DH said it made him think of Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter, and he didn't want his son growing up being associated with the name of a douchebag. I told him it was a good thing then that DS wasn't taking his last name ;p
I also like Basil (pronounced with a Z) but DH couldn't get past the "The Great Mouse Detective" association. Apparently my husband watches too many movies. Amusingly enough, the reason he did agree to Bastien is because the kid in The Neverending Story is named Bastian. Go figure. ?
Contemplating the snow.
Mes Petit Choux
I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then. ~ Alice
Brayden & Nicholas were my top boy choices (his name is Joseph btw). And Gina, Olivia & Dana are my top girl choices. DH has 2 cousins named Dana & Olivia, so those are out. I'm still working on him about Gina though (for the future).
Charlotte. I loved that name and he totally shut me down.
Also Lucia, although I might try to get that back in the running if we end up having another girl.
Charlotte is HIGH on our "to use" list! LOVE it. Love.
Well it's all yours, because apparently a friend of one of DH's college friends was named Carlota (the spanish of Charlotte) and she was a slut. Therefore.....we can't use it. Makes perfect sense, non?
I really loved the name Hannah, but DH works with someone that had recently lost a baby girl and they had called her Hannah so he didn't want to use that name (which I completely understand). We agreed pretty quickly on another girl name, but could not agree at all on a boy name. I guess it's a good thing we had a girl...
He rejected Adelina (add-eh-LEE-nuh), but I think I may talk him into Adela for the next girl.
I also liked Josephine, Lucia, Cecilia and Charlotte. Charlotte he said maybe to but Now I think it's too popular.
For boys, he knows my all time favorite is Abram "Abe" and he likes Noah but I said absolutely no (too popular for me). So he suggested Oliver Noah but i'm iffy about it. Abram Lucas is what it will be if we have a boy, I WILL talk him into it.
I LOVE the name Rockwell! I wanted to use it, but we have a K in our last name and it sounds weird. I also loved the name Everett, but DH thought it sounded too girly.
Viviana, Samantha, and for a boy Christian. But Sophia was always my first choice and he loved it too. We just went back and forth because his cousin's daughter's name is also Sophia. They live in chile though so we decided to use the name.
My favorite boy name was Lucas, but we have family friends with the last name Lucas, so DH vetoed that right away. We actually only agreed on one boy name and one girl name, so we better have a girl next time!!
Addison. I LOVE that name. DH said it was too "preppy"
Whats wrong with preppy?!?!
i love Addison too, but DH said it reminds him of Grey's/Private Practice too much. and i'm pretty sure it's top 5 girls' names, but sadly, so is Joshua (our son's name).
I liked Abigail, and Abby as a nickname. But, his sister had a cat ten-zillion years ago name Scabby and Scabby sounds like Abby-so Abby got nixed Sometimes I think DD looks like an Abby anyway.
I loved the name Poppy since I read the book The City of Ember. I don't know why I latched onto that name but I did. DH immediately vetoed it saying it reminded him too much of " aye papi"
Re: What name did (do) you love that your DH/FI/SO reject?
I wanted to name her Chloe SO bad.
Rejected.
Girl: Penelope(so I named our kitten that), Ophelia, Phoebe, Olivia, Sadie
Boy: Shiloh, Dawson, Emory, Rilo
If we have a boy next though, I'm gonna try for Dawson again.
Lucius. DH said it made him think of Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter, and he didn't want his son growing up being associated with the name of a douchebag. I told him it was a good thing then that DS wasn't taking his last name ;p

Chloe was on of mine too. And Zoe...
Charlotte. I loved that name and he totally shut me down.
Also Lucia, although I might try to get that back in the running if we end up having another girl.
Proud mama to a boys- 6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12
Charlotte is HIGH on our "to use" list! LOVE it. Love.
We agreed on all the girl names....
As for boys.. he didnt like very many of my picks..
I love Bailey & Landon
Well it's all yours, because apparently a friend of one of DH's college friends was named Carlota (the spanish of Charlotte) and she was a slut. Therefore.....we can't use it. Makes perfect sense, non?
We agreed on a girls name fine but we had a hard hard time coming up with a boys name. i like grant and gavin a lot-he rejected them.
I'm still not crazy about DS middle name but its too late now.
Addison. I LOVE that name. DH said it was too "preppy"
Whats wrong with preppy?!?!
Girls he didn't like: Kiara, Kailey, Kendra, Adriana, Ariana
Only agreed on: Samantha, Taylor, Kailyn, Ainslee
Boys: We agreed to name after DH, also like Dylan, Matthew, Collin, Cole
aw!
This! I love this name - DH flat out rejected it
Thats our girls middle name (if we have one!) but we're spelling it with a y instead of an i! LOVE LOVE that name!
He rejected Adelina (add-eh-LEE-nuh), but I think I may talk him into Adela for the next girl.

Nathaniel...he's definitely a Ryan though.
And I've had my girl name picked out and he okayed it.
